Hey TWIST readers,

While we couldn't take our eyes off the screen during The Hunger Games, Justin Bieber couldn't keep his eyes open! He confessed in a brand new interview that he fell asleep during the movie! Justin, whose latest single "Boyfriend" debuted at no. 2 on the charts, dished, "I went at 12:45 a.m. and I fell asleep because it was so late. I worked all day and I thought it was cool to go to a 12:45 premiere, but it was a two-hour movie, so it was like how late? It was crazy." We hope Justin went back and saw the rest of the movie when he was more awake!

TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games: Day 11

HGcourtesy of Murray close.jpg

Hey TWIST Readers!

Wow! There's only ONE more day until The Hunger Games comes out, and we're going crazy with excitement! Plus, after chatting with Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne, Katniss' BFF from District 12, we know this flick is going to rock! Liam spilled exclusively to TWIST about which character in the movie he can't wait to see!

"I honestly--I can't wait to see all the Haymitch stuff, anything with Haymithch. He was kind of my favorite character in the book - books--and yeah if I was older I would have liked to play that role but obviously I'm to young. But I think Woody Harrelson is perfect for the role and I always said he was and I cannot wait to see what he's done with it."

Good call, Liam! We can't wait to check out Woody as Haymitch too! Haymitch was the last Hunger Games winner to come out of District 12 many years before Katniss and Peeta competed!

TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games: Day 10

HGcourtesy of Murray close.jpg

Hey TWIST Readers!

There's only TWO more days until the premiere of The Hunger Games! We've been re-reading the books and brushing up on all of our Hunger Games knowledge in preparation for the movies! It has been great to catch up with stars like Josh Hutcherson as they dished exclusively to TWIST all about the movie! We chatted with Alexander Ludwig, who plays the bad boy District 2 tribute Cato. He spilled to TWIST exclusively about one of the craziest moments from the set!

"I was doing this fight scene with one of the stunt guys, and I've always been told that if something goes wrong, continue the scene because if you accidentally end up hitting someone, it'll look good on camera, and if you don't continue, then it'll all be for nothing. I'm in the training center and I'm supposed to do some crazy stuff and beat some guy up, and we were doing this fight scene and I just whacked the guy in the face. We got a little off, and that happens. It's kind of one of the burdens of being a stunt guy or as an actor doing your own stunts. I ended up hitting the guy really hard and I felt so horrible. He was one of my buddies, too. We got along really well. But I was like, 'OK, I've got to continue this or it'll all be for nothing.' Meanwhile, he's on the floor bleeding and I've just got to keep going. I finished the scene, then I ran over to him and was like, 'Man, I'm so sorry.'"

Wow! That sounds really intense but we're glad that nobody was too hurt! We can't wait to see the fight scenes Alexander does in the movie!

What do you think of Alexander's character Cato? Love him or hate him? Tell us why in the comments and be sure to pick up the March issue of TWIST for a pull-out Hunger Games mag!

4. Tracker Jackers and Muttations: These crazy Capitol inventions are vicious and brutal. They cost some of the tributes their lives!

TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games: Day 8

HGcourtesy of Murray close.jpg

Hey TWIST Readers!

There are only FOUR more days until the premiere of The Hunger Games! We can't believe it's so soon! At TWIST we've been anxiously counting down the days with exclusive stories from the star themselves like Jackie Emerson, Kalia Prescott, Willow Shields, and Amandla Stenberg just to name a few! They've spilled all about the crazy pranks they've pulled and what it was like to be on set. For Day 8 of The Hunger Games countdown we're sharing a hilarious story from Peeta Mellark himself, Josh Hutcherson! He spilled to TWIST exclusively about the funniest thing that happened on set with Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth before they even started filming The Hunger Games.

"Before we started filming Liam, Jennifer, and I were all hanging out and we decided--in Ashville, North Carolina--and we decided that we wanted to go find a river to go swimming in. So we went looking around for a river and we found one and it was freezing so we decided not to go swimming, but Liam had never heard of a crawdad, which, I don't know if anybody else here has, but in Kentucky, where Jennifer and I are both from, there's little lobster creatures that are in rivers that you can pick and you put in stir fry. Kind of like a crawfish. And Liam had never seen one before, and I was like, 'I'm gonna find you a crawdad, Liam!' So I was looking for one under a rock and I thought I had one so I grabbed one and pulled it out, and it was actually a leech and the leech was stuck to my hand. So I'm flinging my hand around, jumping around like a crazy person 'cause I like--I can handle a lot of things, but things sticking to me trying to suck my blood, I'm no into. So it was a pretty funny moment."

That's hilarious! We don't know what we would have done if we were in Josh's situation. We're glad to hear that the leech wasn't on for too long!

TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games: Day 7

HGcourtesy of Murray close.jpg

Hey tributes,

Five days! Only five more days until The Hunger Games is out in theaters! If you're anything like us here at the TWIST offices, you can't wait that long. But since we have no other choice, this should hold you over for the next five days. Alexander Ludwig, who plays rough and tough District 2 tribute Cato, spilled to us what he thought of The Hunger Games trailer the first time he saw it.

"First, I got the tingles right when that big music kicks in, and then later when you see the train going through the forest, I got crazy tingles. And then I kind of just freaked out. I called everyone and was just like, 'Yo, did you guys see this? This is unreal.' I thought [the producers] did such an excellent job, because the point of that trailer is to establish the story. I'm really excited. It's going to be a great movie."

Check out Alexander as Cato in the trailer below, and be sure to check back in tomorrow for Day 8 of TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games!

What did you think the first time you saw the trailer? Tell us in the comments! Pick up the March issue of TWIST for an awesome Hunger Games poster!

TWIST's 12 Days Till The Hunger Games: Day 6

HGcourtesy of Murray close.jpg

Hey TWIST readers,

Can you believe that there are only SIX more days until The Hunger Games comes out?! That's less than a week! To celebrate, we're counting down the top four things you need to know about being on The Hunger Games set in North Carolina!

1. To design the run-down streets of District 12 the set designers shopped at a local antique stores in NC. One shop owner recalls: "I was amazed at the stuff they bought. Everything they bought was primitive, dark, damp, rusty, crusty. Anything dark or drab is what they bought."

2. The cast was always hanging out together! From hiking in the nearby mountains to having private jam sessions with Lenny Kravitz, who plays Cinna, the cast got super close during the 85 days it took to shoot the movie. Jennifer Lawrence dished, "It was like some weird summer camp."

3. There was no gossip on set! And do you want to know why? "There were a lot of moms around to keep us all in line, because a lot of the kids were younger. It was kind of low-key, just a professional vibe. Everyone was really professional. There wasn't anything too gossipy to report," Leven Rambin, who plays Glimmer, explained.

4. The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins spent loads of time on set! That means the movie is sure to be true to fact! So cool!

Which Hunger Games backdrop are you most excited to see? The Capital? The Seam in District 12? The Hunger Games arena? Tell us in the comments! Pick up the March issue of TWIST for a sick Hunger Games pull-out magazine!

With love,
Krista
