It's official - Demi Lovato has signed on to be a judge for the upcoming season of The X Factor! As TWIST previously reported, both Demi and pop legend Britney Spears were in talks to take over for former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzingerand the lovely ladies, who both got their start on the Disney Channel, will join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at the judges' panel for season two. Demi's rep promised that The X Factor won't interfere with any of her upcoming concert dates, and that any concerts she might schedule in the future will be scheduled around the show. So cool!

Yesterday, Britney Spears' little sister, Jamie Lynn performed for the very first time in Nashville, Tennessee. The songs were all her own original tunes and her fam was there to cheer her on. Is she going to follow in her big sister's footsteps and launch a singing career of her own? Though Britney couldn't make it to the show, she tweeted this is support of Jamie Lynn:

Selena Gomez decided to mix it up at her Florida concert recently -- she paid tribute to pop legend Britney Spears. "She's so good. I wouldn't want to butcher it. I'm just going to pay tribute to her! I'm gonna say she's awesome," Sel said at a recent interview. Selena's mash-up included some of Britney's biggest hits --Baby, One More Time, Slave 4 U, and Hold It Against Me. Check it out below:

Hey TWIST Girls,

We reported earlier this month that Britney Spears had co-written a song for Selena Gomez and The Scene's upcoming third album, but TWIST is excited to announce that Britney has actually written three songs for the album! One of the songs is called "Whiplash," which was supposed to be on Britney's album Femme Fatale, but was eventually cut. We can't wait to hear what the songs sound like!

Last night, MTV debuted Britney Spears' brand new music video for "Hold It Against Me." The video is full of special effects, dancing, and a fight - Britney vs. Britney! There were even clips of Brit's older videos including "...Baby One More Time," showing us how far the singer has come. Check out the video above and let us know what you think!
